Abstract:The latest research progress in the field of tribology for marine internal combustion engines are reviewed, focusing on the design simulation, surface anti-friction and wear-resistant coating materials, and test monitoring techniques for key tribopairs, such as cylinder liner-piston rings,crankshaft-bearings,and cam mechanisms. The research progress shows that by optimizing the design and material selection of tribopairs, applying advanced surface coating technology and test monitoring means, the performance and life of marine internal combustion engines can be significantly improved, and friction loss and wear can be reduced. The study provides reference for future research and application in the field of tribology for marine internal combustion engines.
