| Abstract:The inlet valve disc of a diesel engine in a diesel generator set was broken.To deal with this fault，the fault tree analysis method was used to check and analyze the manufacturing quality，assembly quality，operating conditions，environmental conditions，etc.The analysis results showed that the fracture of the intake valve disc was caused by the corrosive solution formed after the corrosive gas in the air dissolves in the condensed water generated during the operation of the diesel engine.The corresponding treatment measures are proposed to solve the fault. |
