| Abstract:As a water-cooled 8 cylinder engine met the problem of gear teeth collision, inspection and analysis were carried out on the aspects of gear material, defects, over load, bad assembly, wrong center-to-center spacing, and manufacturing errors. It is concluded that the machining error of the gear itself is the main cause of its teeth collision. |
